This certification is a multi-attributed, multi-faceted approach resulting in sustainable manufacturing within the furniture industry. Based on the BIFMA e3-Furniture Sustainability Standard, LEVEL is a third-party certification program.  The program provides manufacturers with valuable feedback to better evaluate their impact on the environment, and also on the human population.  The program also helps manufacturers gain an understanding of the social impact of their furniture products as well.  LEVEL takes into account the manufacturing, facility, and organization impacts at all levels before granting any certification. GREENGUARD^® Certification ensures that a product has met some of the world’s most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into indoor air.

Bulter has long advocated for designing and building environmentally responsible seating products. Many Butler products have received GREENGUARD^® certification, and we continually work to achieve certification on every product.

Indoor air quality (IAQ) is closely tied to health, it’s an important concern in homes, schools, healthcare environments, and commercial spaces.  Certification provides the market with solutions and resources to identify products with low chemical emissions and provides manufacturers with credible tools to legitimize and promote their sustainability efforts.
