- All edges are banded with hardwood veneer to seal pores of end grain plies and prevent moisture penetration and eliminate the hiding places for bed bugs.
- The surface is treated with a polyurethane finish system that consists of a sealer coat and subsequent topcoat applied with an automated finish appliance to assure uniform coverage and to prevent finish runs.
- Water and mild soap (no detergents) are recommended as the cleaning method for the surface of the mattress support platform.
